Review of LRO Medical Services – Quick and Efficient Medical Certificate for Driver’s License Date of Visit: July 2025, weekday morning Purpose of Visit: Foreign Driver's License Conversion (Medical Certificate Requirement) LRO Medical Services is a small, LTO-accredited medical clinic that provides medical certificates required for various driver’s license applications in the Philippines, including student permits, professional and non-professional licenses, license renewals, and foreign license conversions. As a foreigner applying for a local driver’s license, I visited this clinic for a required medical evaluation, and the experience was straightforward and efficient. Location & Accessibility: The clinic is located along a busy roadside area, easily accessible on foot or by public transportation. There is no designated parking space available, so private vehicle users should plan accordingly—either park further away or arrive via motorcycle or public commute. The entrance is level and accessible, although it may not be optimized for wheelchairs. Exterior Impression: The exterior signage is clear, listing services and contact numbers. A “Come In, We’re Open” sign indicates operational hours, which are Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, without a noon break—a big plus for those visiting during lunchtime. Interior & Atmosphere: The clinic is compact and simply furnished, with plastic chairs, clean tiled floors, and curtained dividers for privacy. Though the space is small, it is well-organized. Walls are lined with instructional posters, license information, and process workflows, which help first-time visitors understand each step. The air circulation is maintained with wall-mounted fans, but there is no visible air conditioning, which may be a consideration during hotter days. Cleanliness & Comfort: Overall, the space feels clean and functional. Restrooms were not observed during the visit, but the general tidiness suggests acceptable sanitation standards. Staff & Service: The staff were courteous and worked quickly. The registration process was smooth, with a clipboard form for applicants to fill out. Staff assisted as needed and maintained a professional tone throughout. The entire process—from filling out the form, undergoing the initial assessment and physical evaluation (blood pressure, height, weight, eye check), to having the form reviewed and signed—was completed within approximately 20 to 30 minutes. Fee & Payment: The medical certificate costs PHP 500. A slight discount (PHP 400) is available for senior citizens and PWDs. Payment can be made via cash or mobile banking options such as GCash, BDO, BPI, PSBank, and Metrobank, making it convenient for both locals and foreigners. Summary: LRO Medical Services is a reliable option for obtaining a medical certificate for LTO requirements. While basic in its setup, the clinic offers exactly what is needed—quick processing, affordable fees, and helpful staff. Though it lacks parking and some modern comforts, it delivers well on efficiency and accessibility. Overall Rating: 4.3 / 5 Would I Return? Yes, especially for other LTO-related certifications. Recommended For: Foreigners converting licenses, locals needing quick LTO medical clearance, budget-conscious applicants.
This office is very efficient and gets the process done quickly. I wished to get my Philippine license and needed the medical clearance. Since they are near the LTO main office for licensing they know what to do. Get screened, pay the small fee, and off to the LTO to get you license. What a great service and so close to the LTO you can just walk over to complete all actions.
Don't go to this place if you want to be treated nicely. The guy that does the eye exam /med interview is RUDE !!!!! GO next door or somewhere else. This place needs good customer service training for their staff. Wash., DC USA
LRO MEDICAL SERVICES - (LTO East Avenue) LTO-accredited medical clinic I don’t have a middle name, but the name on my medical report was incorrectly formatted. For anyone applying for a license, make sure to ask them to remove the “-” from the digital report. Otherwise, the LTO office staff will end up copying it again 🤦♂️.
Very friendly and well organised staff. Made also the LTO required copies for converting my foreign DL and tacked it nicely together with my applicationform. Thank you.
