Mula staffs, nurses and doctors super maalaga sila. I was admitted last Nov 15, wala akong kasama and yet di nila pinaramdam na ako lang mag isa. The nurses are so polite and they even checked on me time to time. Whenever I call, they immediately rush to my room. Hats off also for Dr. Del Rosario. All of my bills were covered by my HMO card and philhealth, i only paid for the ointment and med cert. Thank you so much SPMC for taking care of me. 🥹🫶🏼
Second time my wife was admitted here, first was emergency c-section during pandemic covid period and second was scheduled c-section after 4 years. We highly recommend this hospital for similar procedure, admission was quick, ang babait ng mga medical staff specially ung mga bagets pa. Private room needs improvement though. Our room had some stains sa walls mejo nag chip off na ung paints near the window but it was still clean. Special mention to the officer in the benefits department, he made it easy for us to claim the philheath benefit, i was already exhausted dahil puyat and pag asikaso kay mrs, that simple smile and eagerness to help made a big difference. Kudos din sa staff in the medical records, mukha lang silang brusko and matapang mag salita, however they were very efficient when they processed my kids birth certificate. Thank you Calungsod team.
This is the worst hospital ever. I took my son there, and instead of a doctor, a nurse told us to get a CT scan, an X-ray, and an injection — all without any proper examination. They pushed me to sign papers without explaining anything. When I went back, they made us get another CT scan and extra tests without informing me, turning what should have cost 6,000 pesos into 30,000 pesos. And guess what? In this picture price, nothing meaning. They said this price is not right. Just made expensive . This place is absolute garbage — one of the worst hospitals I’ve ever seen. My suggestion , don’t go this hospital. If you wanna throw out money and time, its ok
I chose Calungsod even though it’s not the closest hospital to us, because I’ve consistently appreciated the professionalism of their guards and lab personnel. The hospital is clean, well-maintained, and doesn’t have that typical hospital smell—which is a big plus. I’ve recommended it to friends for regular lab tests for their elderly family members, especially because of how respectfully patients are treated in those areas. However, my recent experience in the ER was disappointing and shifted my rating from 5 stars to 3. Despite arriving early, we endured over seven hours of waiting with minimal guidance. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and the triage process lacked clarity. What should have been a straightforward visit turned into a stressful ordeal for my elderly parents. I want to emphasize that I deeply respect nurses and medical personnel. Their work is demanding, and I understand the pressures they face. However, it’s disheartening when complaints are routinely deflected with the explanation that “we have a lot of patients.” This response has become a default excuse, and it unintentionally dismisses the very people raising concerns—we are patients too. If a hospital cannot afford to hire more staff, then it becomes a matter of system design and management, not just staffing. A well-run facility should anticipate patient volume and have protocols in place to ensure care is delivered efficiently and compassionately, regardless of how busy it gets. In fact, the department or area that handles patient concerns—whether involving doctors or nurses—needs someone truly capable of managing issues with expertise and empathy. It’s not enough to hold a title; the role demands someone who understands both medical operations and patient experience, and who can respond constructively when concerns are raised. The OPD also has room for improvement, and the executive checkup rooms felt cramped and poorly ventilated—almost suffocating. For a facility that prides itself on patient care, these areas need serious attention. I still believe Calungsod has potential and good people working within it. But consistency across departments is key. I hope management takes this feedback constructively and works toward improving patient flow, communication, and comfort—especially in emergency and executive care settings.
Worst experience. Last year, I was rushed to the emergency room of this hospital due to nosebleeding. Almost 2 hrs in the ER, no relief and the worst, the ER HAS NO TISSUE. My husband, who was my sole companion needs to leave me and buy a tissue at the convenient store outside the hospital. Because the bleeding still worst, we decided to sign a waiver to be out of this hospital and transfer to another hospital. Guess what? the personnel at the new hospital was able to stop the bleeding in just 15 mins. By the way, we were being charged 8K at San Pedro Calunsod hospital despite its poor services. WORST EXPERIENCE 👎👎👎
